Kids are ecstatic... they LOVE SNOW!!
Unfortunately, this snowstorm also resulted in:
* late start and early school closures for Gabby & Rocco on Tuesday
* no school for either of them Wednesday - Friday
* power outages for so much of our area... and our neighborhood was without electricity from Wednesday afternoon - Saturday evening. Thank G.od for generators!!
Being that I grew up in Minnesota, a snowstorm like this just doesn't seem like a big deal. I mean... we really only got approx 6 inches. However, the snow that falls here is so thick and heavy and wet... combine that with the millions of trees (and huge, heavy trees at that!)... it results in a nightmare of a situation for the electric companies and all of their customers.
