Giuliana's cape

Giuliana received a B.atman cape for her birthday. Not just any Batman cape though... it was a hot pink one with a shiny silver logo sewed on the back.

It is truly excellent. Beyond excellent. It is extraordinary to this little lady.

Dan has called in the best gift ever.

It was something none of her family members even thought to give her. It was a gift from a very good/dear friend of mine. And, Giuliana LOVES it.

The cape might just get worn out. Giuliana wears it ALLLLLL the time. She requests it when she wakes up in the morning, and then again when she wakes up from her nap. She loves to run around the house in it so it flies behind her. She also likes to hold the edge of the cape with her arm straightened out, and then she'll turn her head to look at you with a very serious, B.atman like look. And, then she'll begin humming the B.atman song, quickly followed by more running. Truly cute AND entertaining.

For the first week or two, we had to battle major tantrums before her nap and before bedtime when we had to take the cap off before we put her down to sleep (obviously - could be a choking hazard). Thankfully, I think she has learned that no matter how much she cries... the cape can't be worn to bed. So, she hasn't thrown a fit in recent days/weeks.

This will definitely be one of those items I'll be saving for her. Someday, I'll surprise her with this and other special treasures from her childhood.
